Hello my dear fans, friends and family!
I'm very excited to share that I have been invited to sing in the First Annual Asian-American Jazz Festival! I am humbled to perform alongside such extremely talented and internally-acclaimed artists, and it would mean *so* much to me to see you all there!
About the Asian-American Jazz Festival: This three-day festival celebrates the creative and innovative artistic visions and achievements of Asian American and Asian jazz artists from around the world. Headlining the 3-day event are Japanese piano sensaton, Hiromi, Filipino singing stars, Charmaine Clamor and Mon David, and critically-acclaimed Korean band, Prelude.
For those of you that don’t live in LA but want to show your support...
In honor of this special engagement, 100% of my CD profits from now until the event will be put into a Kiva micro-finance loan, specifically for women entrepreneurs in the Philippines (what better to way to celebrate my Asian heritage than by helping other Asian women also pursue their dreams!). So, if can't attend the Jazz Festival in LA but still want to show your support, you can do so by purchasing a CD, thereby contributing to the loan.
About Kiva. Kiva (www.kiva.org) is a non-profit that allows you to lend money to a specific low-income entrepreneur across the globe. As borrowers repay their loan, you get your money back. It's a powerful and sustainable way to empower someone right now to lift themselves out of poverty.
From now until Oct 31, purchase a CD and
contribute towards loans for Asian women
entrepreneurs.
